i really am disappointed with my school right now,, letting teachers go with their hidden business in the campus! i have a cousin and he complained that their teacher is making money out of them,, they were told to buy a book, through him,, they are always reminded that this is not their project an that they are not forced to buy, they were given 2 options., to answer about a hundred essay or to just buy the book,,isn't it obvious,? it's already forcing them to just buy it,, he's making good reasons why they should buy the book,, and for the highlight, the book costs 550Php,, and another highlight,, it's their minor subject, philippine government, and they are IT students,,a t-shirt was also introduced to them, assuring that they will get 50 bonus points when they buy it,, man!that's some kind of fishy business going on,, he's already known for that kind of business but the admin just let him,, they'll gain profit too,, is this a school or a earning area for teachers like that? and another thing, whenever there are events, he always says that shirts will be ordered through the IGP,and, he is the coordinator,, i guess he really is a businessman,, making profits from us.. BRAVO

That is so wrong. Does the school know what he is really doing? It would be appropriate for the students to report that teacher to the admin. If nothing happens, take the case to CHED. You are right, it is very obvious that that teacher is trying to make money out of the students.

sad to say, the admin is the BACK UP,, we can't raise this issue to CHED, the other authorities will just say that we'll just put the name of our school to shame,, students are afraid also to participate,, we know what they can do if we block their ways,, this is just an ordinary institution,, and i just wish more students will be encourage to fight those thieves,,

Sorry to hear about that. I hope a day will come that their wrongdoings would come and bite them back. If all students can unite, they may be able to do something. The school may be powerful but sometimes, power comes in numbers. Hmm...last resort would be bringing issue to "Bitag".

Hi! This is really a sorry state of our education but a reality, sad to say. This happens in our school, too. Oftentimes, top management is not aware of this but the middle management do but they turn a blind eye justifying the act. Perhaps due to pressures from the faculty. Or the famous SIR (smooth interpersonal relationship) we Filipinos are noted for.
Do you have a grievance committee for students? The students can raise this issue to student government who in turn can take this matter up with administration. Make it formal so a formal response would also be given.
This happened in our school - formal channels - and the administration did something on some but not all.

and i'll tell you another misery,, he makes the grades of the students incomplete, those gorgeous females students,, why? when those beauties approach him to clarify and complete their grades, he gives an option, to comply or to have an intimate contact with him.. that's how devilish he is,,and to think that he has two daughters,,

That's being bad of him.....
He doesn't deserve to be in a learning institution.
He has no business there.

That's a teacher in the wrong profession. You're right, that teacher should have been a businessman since he's very effective at it. If the school admin refused to call his attention then it's about time his case he brought to the media's attention. Try calling, imbestigador or ted failon and I'm sure everyone in that school will have their hands over that teachers neck in to time at all.

Though I hate to dish out teachers becuase they are hurting from their meager salary like other employees, your example of a teacher is a disgrace to others who really carry the profession with a passion. I mean, I could understand if the teacher was really lacking funds but forcing students to buy merchandise in connection to his profession is plain wrong. I also know that schools are usually run like a business but even the administration's involvement and action of intolerance of this kind of abusive practice really takes the cake. It just shows that this school is lacking in integrity and should not be patronized by future students and parents. Also, a reprimand from DepEd plus an apology should be made by the school to its students.
