Wow, the winter of 20210/2011 is going to be a loooooong one. And it seems the snowing never ending. Again a hole weekend with snow and cold is over us. I am really getting tired of it now and longing for the spring - The sun - The singing birds but most of all I am longing to take a walk on clear ground without being afraid of slip at get badly hurt.
So how about YOU?

I feel for you because I can't stand the cold weather at all or even the snow for that matter. I now live in Puerto Rico and the coldest temps I have experienced now living here for the past 4 months is 64 degrees and that is at nightime. I lived most of my life in New York experiencing horrible winters there and don't miss it at all. Hope its a fast winter for you and that the birds will be chirping soon and the flowers blooming.

well, I wish I could live abroud at least during the winter season. Cant though becouse I do not have stuff brought to me on a silver plate...I have to work for a living...I dream though of the morning when all the snow and slippy roads are free and I can take my bike to work again.

I know what you mean I worked for 32 years and now am very happy that it has all paid off for me. Be wise in your decisions and you could some day be living a happy life in a tropical island too. Before you know it the first day of spring will be upon you. Good luck!

I love winter. Granted it doesn't snow as often here as it does in other places (perhaps I'd change my mind if I had to deal with snow nonstop). It gets in the low teens, but snow isn't a problem we have a lot. A lot of ice, and usually two bad snow storms a winter. I'm probably in the minority, but I enjoy the bite of the crisp, cold air. And I love the starkness of nature's beauty this time of year.

Though it probably doesn't get as cold here as some other parts of the world, I do not enjoy winter...maybe because I am used to warmer climates. My husband prefers cold weather and loves winter. It's getting warmer here but it still is too cold for me in the early morning and late evening :(

Definitely not! The winter in Europe this season seems to be lasting, lasting and lasting and it is sure COLD! In addition to cold weather, we are also getting many foggy days and it is sure depressing then! Like you, I am also looking forward to the Spring!

Winter is enjoyable for me when it first begins. It is a new and exciting season. As the cold weather starts to show an ugly face, the desire for winter becomes less. As the end of winter approaches, i am eager for some spring weather to arrive.

I cannot stand the cold of winter. My fingers and toes just never seem to get warm. Because of the temperature, I never want to go outside and do anything. Not to mention how barren the trees and ground are. It just looks so depressing during winter.
I will admit, I like snow. It's that one thing that makes me want to go outside, even though I know I will be three times as cold as I was before! I'm not too old to go around having snow ball fights and building snowmen! It's just fun to play in. Too much can be too much, however. It usually only snows occasionally where I grew up, and when it does snow, it's not a lot. Last year it snowed a ton! Maybe too much.
One weekend, I came home to visit my parents for a week. I ended up staying a month because every single weekend when my husband could have come to pick me up, it snowed again! Not just a little dusting like usual, either. I love my parents dearly and enjoyed the extra time I got to spend with them. I just didn't know when I was going to get home!

I don't enjoy snow because we don't have one in my country. I hope soon I can enjoy one. I have always wished to get hold of snow balls and throw them to wherever I'd like to and also walking with those little white cottons could be fun.

I could only wish to experience winter as our country is under tropical weather all year long. I think it would be hard to adapt to the coldness of it if I do ever experience the season but I think I would just like to try it for a short while just to know.

I can say that I don't enjoy winter.... well, I think it will be more correct to say that I absolutely hate winter. The weather is so cold it's really difficult to go out, and once you're outside your skin hurts because of the low temperatures.
Trying to shower in the mornings is a torture too, as it's too cold, but I have this custom of having a shower in the morning, and I can't get rid of it.
I hope winter finishes early this year.
