Just wondering, I asked the travel agent how much it would cost to fly either business or first and was shocked by the difference in price. The father of a friend who was a millionaire, always used to fly economy and donate the difference between his ticket and the cost of business class to a charity. He didn't believe it worth it. I am unlikely to ever find out for myself, if you've been lucky enough let me know!

Unfortunately, I haven't been lucky enough to fly on business or first class. I always go on economy class and as much as possible on promo fares... :D I have been traveling around Asia only and for me I would not even have thought of traveling in first or business class. But if we are talking about Europe and the Americas, I think I will reconsider only if I have the money. But the thing is, I don't...hahaha... But for me, I won't really buy a ticket in business or first class to any destination. I would rather have the difference between the tickets be spent on my expenses when I am at my destination. Or if I am that rich, I will do the same as what your friends' father have done.

I always pay for economy class when I go on a plane. For a plane journey from the Male in the Maldives to London in England I was upgraded to business class for free. Wow! It was a very enjoyable, comfortable, exciting and relaxing journey. There was far more leg room that there had been in economy class on the way out. I think first class on a plane comes at an enormous cost that it not worth it. I say that it is better to spend the money having a fantastic time on the trip. I liked hearing how the millionaire donated the difference in price to the charity.

I lucked out with this happening once when I was upgraded by the airline to first class. About the only thing that was great to me is the more room you have. Other then that its not a big deal especially at the prices they charge. I'm not a big food person so the food didn't mean a thing to me. I guess also the crew is more attentive to your needs but it doesn't bother me in the least to fly the economy seats. As long as I get to my destiny without any problems then its great.
