I noticed teenagers nowadays are starting to smoke and drink at a very young age. My parents were a smoker and my mom is a drinker but I never followed their paths. I don't like the taste of cigars but I used to drink occasionally. I have learned to drink when my husband was still courting me back in college. We used to go to our friend's house and have a drink. So basically, he's the reason why. For you mylotters, who and what influenced you to drink and smoke? When did you start engaging on these vices? Share your experiences..

I started smoking and drinking when I was 18. I am now 21 years old and I made a conscious decision to start smoking, being fully aware what can lie ahead of me because of my habit. Nobody is to be blamed for that and my parents are non-smokers and teetotalers. Though smoking is not a good habit we really appreciate when people respect or at least tolerate our choice and don't judge us, not that i am going to care though. Have a nice day.

Thanks for sharing your own experience. Hmmnn...my husband is a heavy drinker and used to be a smoker. I don't judge him, but I care for his health when we grow old. I've seen many people suffer of a disease when they grew old, and others even die early not able to enjoy much of their life here on earth a little bit longer. I hope you can get out of that habits soon. Have a nice day too ^_^.

I never drink and smoke,so do not know about others. But I totally agree with you the generation now start in a very young age to drink and smoke. Stress level is more now a days, so young people get into these habits at an early stage.

Stress is an added factor, maybe true for some but for others are mere influenced by other people too. It is good that you don't drink and smoke. Keep it up! Thanks for your response.

Nope i wasn't influenced by any jerk who considers drinking to be some kinda status symbol!I do stuff which i feel like doing not because someone asked me to do so.Always wanted to stay away smoking and boozing in my college days. Now that i'm done with my studies...i started boozing with certain thresholds so that i do not make fun of myself getting drunk in public places.great day.

Thanks for your response. That is so cool of you not to indulge in such bad habits. Some people think they look cool if they smoke or drinks but not for me. They do nothing good to our health and worst with our breath!

All i can say is that there are alot of parents that buy their children drink as well as smokes, as they give the children them for a peaceful life.I know a mother that gives her son smokes from the age of 13 years old, as well as drink letting them get drunk. Her son even tells his friends that his mother gives them to him. What do it say about the mother do you think.
