I don't know if there's still a need to put up a calendar in my work table when my cell can provide dates, time. What shall I'll do with all the calendars I got this Holiday!:)

Having two option is much more convenient than have one. I still keep calendar on my work place. Because holidays are not included in cellphone calendar unless you encode them manually.

I find cell calenders very useful I do enjoy the reminder alerts I get from mine as it serves for the extra added reminder. But I also like at least one calender at home as I do like to glance at it from time to time to remind me quickly of a certain date. I do not use it to write events as I only use it as something to remind me of what day it is .

we still have one central calendar in our kitchen because everyone is invovled in a number of different things in my family so this is the way that we keep track of it all.

In my opinion they are essential not only for date checking but we have other uses too.I have tons of them most are free from shops and business houses, book stores, but some i have bought. Calendars with pictures of our gods/goddess are my favorites, we hang them in puja room and few in drawing room, some have phases of moon and dates for our hindu festivals, this we all need for festivals, fasting etc. Thanks for sharing Best of luck. i do keep a calendar sometimes but use it rarely. most use it to check whaat the day of the week it will be on a certain date. i find it easier using the calendar than a cellphone

I got a calender for Christmas from my mother. I put it on my wall but other then to look at the date when I am in the kitchen I dont use it. I have a little daily planner that I use to write things down in. I dont use my cell phones calender although it does have one. I think I would forget to look at the calender on my phone but I dont forget to look in my planner.

Hiya ER, Calendars the ordinary ones? Yes I reckon that they are worth keeping because of the chance of the Battery in your Mobile Phone going flat. Or maybe the whole mobile phone system can be down for hours it does happen here and sends everything haywire too. Calendars are great things to have around for reminders of Birthdays and such. Remember too sometimes you cannot go online because the Internet might be down for a long amount of hours and you would be able to consult your good old Calendar. Always there but very handy to have around for when the electrical world fails us.

i thinks in this modern world.. where technology is everywhere.. calendars are not already worth keeping.. because people already base their date and time on their gadgets... :))

I'd keep them if they're decorative. Some of these calenders look nice. But I suppose they've lost their purpose nowadays. I used to have two or three in my house a few years ago, but now I have none. I just check the date on my computer or my mobile.
