I have been looking in the markets for laptops for a while now and have seen one that I like. Dell Studio 15. I was wondering if anyone would recommend otherwise if there are better options for the 800 dollar price range. Thank You

I suggest you to buy an i3, i5 or i7 processor laptop from intel with at least 4 gigabyte of random access memory and 120 gigabyte read only memory for the graphical card, take at least the ati radeon hd 4350 with 521 gigabyte of sdram or ddr3 ram or more of course i suggest to buy an acer or vaio laptop not mac because they are over priced and they are not worth the money the graphical user interface is nice, but that's all mac doesnt offer the right tweaks; but windows does oh yes almost forget, please take a 64 bit operating system like windows seven home premium x64, and not the x86 version i hope i helped you i can give you some link too if you want for good laptops in your price range ps welcome to mylot

Thanks Thomas, Most of the specs you mentioned are what I need on my computer as I do a bit of video editing. I will check out the laptops you've mentioned. Have a great day

the best thing you can do is check out amazon dot com and check their prices and of course add the postage price than, go to your local store and check the prices of laptops search for the cheapest and check the specs what you want most of the time your local seller will be cheaper because the sending costs are not there wish you good luck i hope you can catch a nice promo somewhere wishing you all the best with your purchase

i don't really think I will be able to find a cheap laptop locally because of where I live. Retailers have to put the prices up pretty high as it is pretty expensive to ship to Bermuda. The nearest country (USA) is a good 600-700 miles away. ps I will probably get one whenever I go on vacation if it is too expensive to ship.

I really don't know enough to recommend one, but I can tell you the Toshiba's have a tendency to overheat. Mine worked great for a while but the last few weeks it starts acting hot as soon as i turn it on!
