with the auction season going on, many cricketers have been bought at very hefty amounts and many known cricketers were unable to fetch even the attention, while everything is unexpected in this season, who do you think will be the most expensive player.

I think it should be Sachin but as somebody said that it is Gautam, then I think Schin is not the costliest player.
Why is Gautam the most expensive player don't you think it should be Sachin?

Sachin and Dhoni are not in the auction as they are the iconic players and nobody can rate them, sachin is the god of cricket and you can't rate god.

The most expensive player of the IPL Season 4 is Gautham Gambhir for Kolkatta Knightriders. His going rate is even higher than the retainer fees for players retained by the franchisees. So in essence he is the most expensive player in the IPL this season.

The most expensive player in IPL season 4 is gautham gambhir. he has sold out for $2.4 million dollars. kolkata knight riders had purchased him. i think kolkata has a good tough team..

I was hearing to an interview of Mallya & he said a very interesting point.
" Just because a 1.8 million was deducted from a franchisee's fund for sachin, that does not mean that he is entitled only so much, the player can get more or less deepening on the agreement between him & the owner"
I am sure that some of the retained players will get more than Gambhir.
The most overvalued player has to be venugopal Rao, who got bid for 3.22 crores.
