The royals probably have not done great baring the 1st IPL...they were the underdogs then and then everybody started talking about them...their team composition has been a worry throught out after the 1st IPL...and even in the surrent bidding that is going on they are lagging behind with no so great purchases..at present they are the only team that is not upto the mark...wonder how would they manage.

Actually the Rajasthan Royals have a lot of money constraint this season. Due to the court hassles that they are into they have 2 million less than the rest of franchisees. They also retained two players in Shane Warne and Shane Watson, so had that also deducted from their kitty. So I think they are waiting more for signing some of the uncapped players who will cost them 40 Lakhs or less.
Cheers!

Paper strengths do not matter in T20.
Rajasthan Royals won with a unknown team in the first edition. You only need one player to fire in a day to win a t-20 match.
Yes! They were hampered with the lack of buying power of other teams, but i feel that they have invested in allrounders: Watson, botha & collinwood.
They also have match winners in tait & taylor.
Indian buys like dravid & pankaj singh are not bad. It's the smallest team so far but by no means a weak team.
They have 6 international players. this means that they can still rotate their international players. Its a waste to have 10 foreign players when you play only 4 in every match.

Yeah there team doesn't seems that much appealing..Tait is the best player i think they have picked. But lets see how they choose there uncaped players.Shane warne is a master mind he would have finalised few of those players and afterall these names don't count performances in the match those really count.Second team I think kochi is not well balanced they don't have a good indian batman. The same case is with deccan chargers they have only Shikhar Dhawan as Indian batsman who is not in his prime form..As there can be only 4 overseas players after that you need seven Indians perform only then a team can win.Mumbai and chennai looks favourites for the IPL-4.
