Now-a-days many students are busy to make good results. They just memorize study materials and put them in examination. They don't know that memorized topics will not last longer. If we are learn anything by understanding the topic then it will last longer. So what is more important for a student;memorization or learn by understanding?

There is a term for this kind of teaching - it's called spoon - feeding. Basically, the teacher provides facts from books and lets the students memorize the whole enchilada. As you stated, it's not good for learning since students are not able to think critically about the concept itself. A student learns not to think and just memorize some piece of fact without knowing the context or that fact. there is also no interaction as the teacher rolls on and on and students only wait for the teacher to finish talking.
However, some teachers are trying to reverse the process. They are in the minority but at least some students can experience and try to figure out things by understanding rather than memorizing.

Yes, this is true, and I am one of them sometimes,
I just review my lessons if we have quiz and exams.
and after it I forgot it, and I am not interested again.
