Did you ever say 'I LOVE YOU' in a lie?

I am a little bit curious about this issue. There really are those who are afraid to hurt people or maybe play people and tell them "I LOVE YOU" insincerely.

No, I've never done that. I will never say that words to someone I don't love.

We're the same. That's why until now, I've never said these words but my mother, father and God. :))

I am in a relationship and inlove with him, so I've said that words to my bf. I also tell my nieces that I love them.

I have not said these words just to make someone happy. I said these words to my wife only and no one else got to hear these words

That's very sincere and faithful of you. Seldom are those who say I love you for truth and nothing but the truth. Kudos!

Never. I would never tell someone that I didn't love that I love them. I don't like to play games with people. If I love them, they will know it, and if I don't then they will never hear of it. There was only one man that I have ever loved, and I am still with him to this day.

I don't like lying to people. If I love someone, then I love them, if not, well, then I don't, and they will know it.

hi uniqueorn I have never told anyone that insincerely as thats really slimy and sort of hateful. If you really do not mean it do not hurt someone who may really believe you. thats an awful thing to do to any one. This insincerity will be seen through very quickly and hurt someone unnecessarily. [

I agree Hatley. It seems also a disrespect to yourself as a human because you are looking yourself low and incapable of being an honest person.

hi uniqueorn, guess saying the same should always have a clear meaning when you utter the words. i have said many times in school, in the office, i love you but always there is a word after that - as a friend, as an officemate, etc. and i dont think it is a lie. an i love you to a person i love would be just 3 words - i love you.. well, it could also be five words - i love you very much. have a nice day. ann

very well said tigeraunt. Although I don't find it necessary for me though to say to my friends "I LOVE YOU AS A FRIEND" because they do know our limitations. What I am waiting for is when the time I'll get to have someone I truly more than just anything in this world. I don't know if I could say these words right in front of the person because it might just make me feel nervous and stumble on saying the different words.

Well once I did because a girl who was calling me regularly and forcing me towards herself and she was eager to listen these words from my mouth on any cost. Most amazing thing was I never saw her I never met her even after saying in lie, "I Love You". The best part of that Lie was a "BET" which she won on these words from me. Guess what ? I even don't know who was loser ? What I know, "Both girls live around me maybe they are my neighborer or maybe some of my family members" because they were very well informed about me. When I give assurance about my saying the demanding words I got the last call in which I said the exact required words and after that I got no further calls. What I got in response ? "Peace of mind" :D :D :D

This is sooo interesting. It's like a game show. Well at least as a prize and cost of the game saying I LOVE YOU in a lie. You get a peace of mind. This is after all what's important.

Hi, Honestly I have said that one time when the girl asked me 10th time if I love her not. Now I have realized that even if you say it without feelings you will have this feeling generated with time after you say these words. It happened with me but I don't say that it is same for everyone. I just wanted to know that why do you ask this question, have you said that to someone?

Thank you for the response sanjay. I do honestly believe also that saying I love you to someone whether it's certified sincerity or not would generate a different impact on you. Things would start changing - I'm not certain whether it is for good or bad. But thanks for proving that this thing really do exist. I never experienced such things though however I find it odd people saying I love you spontaneously and I question sometimes the sincerity. I don't when it is valid to say 'i love you' but I guess it is a universal matter that everyone enjoys. I fear that it has become a bandwagon that some would desperately do things which aren't supposed to be done like saying I love you with unacceptable truthfulness.
