Add tags to this discussion

Each time you post a new discussion, or you reply to a discussion, you have the option to add tags to that particular discussion. Any idea why this is used for? It's possible that those tags are set into the meta tags of the site; so when people search on search engines, they will find mylot too but is that the only reason? and does it affect my earnings if i add tags or not? thanks for replying wish you all many earnings of course

MyLot tell us that we earn for our activities without specifying which ones so why not tag and rate while we are posting too? Tags are important both here on myLot and to get our discussions seen on searches. Did you see the column on the right 'similar topics'? If we tag correctly then our topics will be seen there and could receive more reponses. MyLot explain the importance of tagging here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq9.aspx#1

i fully understand the meaning of tags right now also thanks for the link; i have read the faq few months ago, but couldnt remember there was something about tags into that frequently asked questions page here in mylot website i see voldrox wishes you a happy new year, of course i wish you a good year too and may all your wishes come true here in mylot and of course in your real life too

Hello Thomas, I don't believe we earn by tagging discussions, but indirectly you have the opportunity to earn more. Tagging helps get more responses to your discussion and you could earn more by replying to them. The more you type the more you would earn. Plus, if you tag a discussion you won't be asked to tag the discussion again and again after you give responses to the comments.

lol I dont think you earn for this reply no and i dont earn too because the tags i use in this text is not related to the orignial discussion and is out of the topic anyway wish you of course all the best and itrs nice you can use smilay and bold or italic text too bad i cant use that

I think the tags are only there to help us with our discussions and reaponses. the tags help to categorize our interests and where to place what we say.

Correct sender621 thanks for taking time to respond me It also found that it is easier to find things when using the search at the top of this page; easy navigating with tags , difficult without tags

Well I add tags to discussions if I can come up with some that very moment. Tags helps a lot they do. Well recently I have been adding more tags so it could show that I am being more active here on mylot and maybe that will help me in the long run so that's why I am adding tags now. It seems that now I can't go with out adding tags and I feel that I just have to do it every time.
