I don't believe in fortune telling and palm reading. I know everyone has their own destiny destined by God. No one can ever foresee that. I sometimes think that fortune tellers are taking advantage of people who believe in them. No one has the power to read the future except God, do you believe that? Of course, there are other people going to these fortune tellers but I guess it's just for fun or to check if they can really see the future.

You are right reco nobody can read your future and even if some one can, he can not do anything to change it even if some people pretend to do so. But I have been always curious to know what some body has to tell me about my future and therefore have been to them some times. Many of them recommended some religious rituals to help for my better future but I never did it. I am a strong believer in God and I am sure he will guide my destiny good or bad.

You're right. We may go to these people at times just to know what they have to say about us without believing in them. They are just ordinary people like us so they can't really foresee the future

Its a coincidence when we approach fortune teller or a palm reader he may say few things which may be common and he would have said to so many. I believe in God and destiny. He would have already destined our life so there is no point in asking a fortune teller or a palm reader.

I don't believe what fortune teller says because they are just guessing. But me and my cousins used to have our fortune read just for fun. Most of them are saying good stuffs about your future so that you will come back and have your fortune told. Also most of them are making a living out of it, they charge you for every visits. I remember one time that we went to a fortune teller, she said to me that I'm going to marry my boyfriend that time. When I went home that evening, me and my boyfriend broke up. That made me realized that most of them are just saying what you wanted to hear.

Hi there reco! I actually don't believe in fortune tellers but I've experienced having one in our house before. She was a visitor of my mom and she insisted on telling me my fortune. That time,me and my first love broke up and so I ask her if we are still going to be together again and she said yes,she even said that at the end of the year,we will be reconciled and continue with our relationship,I laughed! But you know that time,I was really hoping we could still be together since I still love him. Well, fortunately, the fortune teller was so wrong! Good thing it's the opposite, lol! Now,I'm happy with my hubby!

Yes, many years ago I went to a spiritual medium more than a fortune teller, as I don't believe the future is ours to see unless we can see it ourselves. The spiritual medium agreed with this philosophy to, but was very accurate about where I was wanting to go in my life, even though I offered no information at all. It was a unique experience in which this lady told me what I already knew at a deep level without me saying a word to her. So there is something of value in this, but the future is up to each of us to mold for ourselves. _Derek

Good day reco13, I used to believe in fortune tellers. I wish I had all the money I spent on getting my future read. I used to get my horoscope done by my day and time I was born and it would cost me $60 a year to do that. I used to get my cards read and my palm read and my tea leaves read. I used to believe in it all because they used to get things right about me. But I was naive enough to not realize that with the questions they ask you, you are giving them the things to say that are about you. I have probably spent at least $3000, if not more. Then one day I was shopping at the mall and I came across a table in the mall for a woman telling people's fortunes and it was only $15 so I thought...why not... So I stood in line for about half an hour, big line up, and when it was my turn to go in the tent I saw it was my aunty reading people's fortunes. My aunty was no more a medium than I was. She took a course at our university and got a certificate and she is working it. She is making a fortune working it because so many people still believe. I no longer believe now that I know it is just another way for someone to earn a living. To actually offer this kind of course at the university just stuns me. Cheers and happy mylotting my friend , chris

I don't believe that anyone can foretell my future other than God. To believe in the ability of anyone to determine my future life is something I will never do so I don't go to fortune teller. I have not done it and will never do this at all.

I have not, but regardless of what I believe, I think it might be an interesting experience to go, as a sort of show. I am sure there are many who do believe in it, it is not something I would spend a lot of money or time on, but to actually be in the presence of someone who feels they can read me, my future, or just the future in general, might be a little interesting.

I also do not believe the forecasters. I do not believe in anything. What determines our future is our own. No one can know what will happen. Many people say, only God knows. But God, do not want to tell us, and we can not ask God. Does God really exist?

I'm not a believer, too. But I read horoscopes and the like just for fun. What tomorrow holds, let tomorrow bring it to us. God has His own plan for each one of us and only Him and Him alone could let us know what holds for us!

I have not gone to a fortune teller ever before in my life. As i can see, there is no harm on going to seek one and let your future read. Because i think there is no one who can predict or tell what the future really brings. Fortune tellers prediction are not accurate but they would somehow fit on us. but should not be the basis on our lives. We make our future.

I have been to a fortune teller who practises palmistry. Its actually quite common for people in India to look for some kind of future predictions. Surprisingly for me these fortune tellers never tell something which is bad. They'll say do this , it will have great effect on your career, nice time is coming up, be careful in your business dealings. I have now stopped believing in all these things and have decided that it will me who'll craft my future and not some fortune teller. I do believe in God and strongly believe that he is with those people who work hard.

I went to a fortuneteller. It was a guy with a card table and a deck of Tarot cards on Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley. Every time he said something, he would sort of glance at me to see how near he was getting to the mark. He said I was in love. He must have seen some kind of expression on my face, because then he said no, this nest card showed that I had many suitors. Hah. I was only fighting with my boyfriend. He kept changing his story to match what he thought was my reaction, not what was in his magic cards. Five dollars that cost me. However, it was a good lesson. I don't know about all fortunetellers, but that guy was a fraud.

No, I don't believe in fortune tellers. The truth is I think they don't know what fate is or if they can really read the person's future. Well, if they could really see the future then they should be rich and they are not wasting their time telling the fortune of other people, for the sake of earning money. If I can their power, then I will look to future and see what horse will win in the races and I will bet my money on the winning horse. However, I don't see any fortune teller get rich by that. I just see fortune tellers get rich by writing books or making people believe that they could predict the future. In close inspection, these fortune tellers just say the generals things so that they will be safe. Also, many of them just tell the people what they want to hear. I laughed one day when I heard a fortune teller gave her day's prediction for those with zodiac sign of Virgo. The fortune teller said: "Virgo, be prepared because you will have a closed door meeting with your boss. Ha! She is funny. Is she 100% sure that all Virgo have jobs and have boss to have closed meetings with? I don't think so.
