I believe there is ONE divine energy just called different names by different people I agree..and Ihave to say that it really baffles me why the masses can't grasp that..I mean in a sense its like "bread" in parts of the world is called just that, "bread"..but in other cultures, other parts of the world the same food or one very very similar (like Naan) is called something else....Same concept IMO...

That is the way I think too. Why call it divine. NATURE is there which is not created but simply existed.

Hi umadper, I agree with his holiness the Dalai Lama that there is enough in all religions if we look for it. There is no need for one to leave one religion for another. If we have an open mind we can all keep learning and growing spiritually within our own religion or with no religion at all. Personally, I see no reason for any organized religion except the golden rule which is found in some form in all religions. Blessings.

Beautifully said! and I agree wholeheartedly Pose! I just wish there was a way to get the masses to realize this....

I believe dont hurt anybody with whatever you say or do, and you make the grade. :) That is my religion. Some rituals I do follow. That is because a few of my friends follow, and I have lived through those religious customs for better part of my life, so my mind is conditioned to do some of those chores. But other than that, I doubt if I have my faith in such chores. At least not any more. The god of my religion would have to work very hard indeed to rekindle my faith. For now, I am satisfied with not hurting others, and not being hurt. And part of it is not being jealous. :)

We do not need broad mind. What we do not need is a RELIGION. All religions talk the same things, sing the same tunes. Question of importance arises when one tries are asked to choose a RELIGION, and then asked to prefer one RELIGION to the other. Instead, all will be well WITHOUT ANY RELIGION. Broad mindedness is a very strong usage.

I can't say that my religion is the only true religion because it has nothing to do with religion but believing that Christ came to die for our sins. I don't all religions have the same beliefs when it comes to things like that or even some set different standards when it comes to salvation don't you think?

I am of the view that all religions are equal. Religion -- all of us see it the way we have been taught by others. As long as one religion doesn't criticise another it is ok. In fact top order books in all religions do not find fault with other religions but tell about their ideas, goals, path.
