What are differences between pentium and celeron processors of computer?

Some said that Celeron has half performance compared to Pentium in the same speed. Suppose there are Celeron 2.0 GB and Pentium 2.0 GB, then Pentium will be faster than Celeron. Like you can find in AMD processor, Duron and Athlon.

I would go for pentium because you will not be disappointed with the performance. I just recently bought a Pentium i7 laptop and it is very fast.
