ntini retired from cricket

Ntini was a great servant for the South African cricket team. He came in the quota system and really excelled to prove that he was in the team not in quota but rather because he was really good enough for the team. The rape charge was the low light of his career, but on the cricket field he has been a great entertainer all through. Wish him a great life post retirement. Cheers! Ram

Nitni had given his his name for IPL but nobody picked him. Yes , he has done a lot for SA cricket & his absence will be felt in test cricket. He could bowl over after over for his captain & never get tired. It is said that on every 3rd day of the test match, he would do 30 laps of the ground; such was his fitness. undoubtedly best black player for SA till date. Very much loved by his countrymen, despite the rape accusations against him. His primary reason for quitting , is just age. He was famous for saying " I will never bowl a slow bowl." With age his speed has deteriorated & is no longer a threat to opponents.
