From the radio advertising, and television or other sources of advertising, Home Depot officially introduce the first LED light bulbs on its stores all over the branches. It claim to save more than thousands of dollars of electricity bill, so it certainly a money saver. I also check the price on a single light bulb in LED category, it ain't cheap, but it is not about the price of the light bulb, it is about the money you going to save in the future. So, would you consider purchase one to test it out?

So far I have not. We are all basically going to be forced to soon because they are going to stop making the regular ones we all know and love. I really don't want to use those new LED lightbulbs, I have heard they are dangerous to work with an many times break as you are trying to remove them. I also don't like to be forced in to doing things. I have been stocking up on regular light bulbs and I won't be switching until every last one of those is burnt out.

I've been using LED lights for 3 years now and yes they last very long and emit very low heat. The earlier LEDs were less brighter than those that are available today that has more light beads in fact they already have LED tubes for flourecent light replacement. Although I like U.S. quality LED the price is outrageously very high, I bought mine in Hong Kong and some were made in mainland China, they were so cheap that I even made a profit selling them here in our country. Yes it will help the environment plus lowering your electric bills, but be careful , some lights are not as bright or comparable to CFL
