How to put links on your profile?

I have been seeing links and banners on people's profile linking you to different sites. I have tried to get some of my own but haven't been able to. I'm usually pretty good at finding things by myself. Is there some sort of restriction for higher level users? Thanks for your help

Well what I think that you do is copy the link of the picture, banner, etc and just post it into the html section of your profile so long as the profile comes with one. I am not sure on any other way to do it.
