i went to salon last day, and had a pedicure. i thought the pedicurist removed the ingrown in my toenails successfully, and after two days, my toenails aching gradually, and i feel that there's still an ingrown inside of my nails.. cause when i press it,its aching. have you experience that there's still left ingrown in your toenails? do you remove it alone or just call another pedicurist to remove it? or do you endure it?

I remove it myself. If I can't get it, I enlist my husband.

ouch!! I have not had an ingrown toenail, but I think you should go see a foot doctor. A person with a nail technicians license[or pedicurist as you said] isn't medically qualified to. They're only supposed to clean your feet and trim & paint your toe nails. At least as far as i know. but don't just let it stay! that won't make it go away!

I did not know a pedicurist would remove it for you?!?! I've had them on and off since grade school. Usually I can take them out on my own. However, right now I have a stinker I can't quite get and he's a hurting, not badly but enough to be tender and make acomidations so you don't tap it funny and cause more pain. I'm hoping it eases up on my end and or I'm able to get that piece of nail out. This is the first in some time that I have not been able to remove it the first time around.

I get ingrown toe nails it seems often and now that when i know when im getting them i just start digging in my toe to get it out. I try to get it cut by the time i will have to suffer through the pain of digging into my toes skin. I know the pain is not fun at all and today i actually did cut my toe nails and made sure i was to dig into the side of my nail and cut all the extra nail off that was growing into my skin. You should start cutting your own toenails so you can start checking for ingrown toe nails.

I have had ingrown toenails and it really hurts. The cure to it is to cut the nail straight across and not like you do your fingernails you have to also clean out your toenails daily. Do this after you have taken off your socks for the day. It comes from the lint in your socks. I remove mine I don't expect anyone else to do this for me. Good luck I know the pain you are going through.

I've never had an in growing toenail. The closest I've had is when our John rolled over my big toe with a Cricket pitch roller. It really hurt and they had to drill a hole in the nail to relive the pressure.

Ingrown toenails occur mostly because of because of improper trimming of the toe nails. We as women like to cut by rounding edges as this is improper to do. We are suppose to cut them straight across and then file them down a bit on the sides. I may remove an ingrown toe nail myself depending on how deep it is and or if it is visible. If it is too deep, best to consult a podiatrist as bathroom surgeries lead to a great deal of other issues.

Yeah it happened to me :( I cleaned it really well and let it grow until I was able to lift the nail out to let the new nail grow..
