I think that dogs really dream when they sleep.
I've noticed that both my previous dog, Nera, and the dog I have now, Binne made different sounds while they were asleep: moan, whimper, growl and had involuntary body gestures such as twitching, tail wagging and lip licking. It's quite a show to see a dog dreaming. Binne is much funny to watch when she pushes her legs into the armchair where she sleeps and she lets herself slide down to the carpet without waking up.

I was so busy that I did not have the time to read and respond to the answers here. I hope you can share a video of your Binne when she pushes her legs into the armchair.

Hello shingshing,
I don't have a recent record of my dog doing the slide-off-the-armchair job but I have an older one. Here it is:

(I'm sorry for the quality of the video, it was early in the morning when the light was not too good)
Note that she didn't wake up after she let herself slide off the armchair.

Have you watched anyone in their sleep. Jumping moving all over. when they wake up,
aks what they where dreaming about. They usually say a bad dream or where being chased by someone, why would an animal be any different..

He paws will be just a going and she will be making a noise like she is chasing something and almost got it.

Of course dogs dream. We don't even have to base it with sins. Just think logically. Dogs have nervous system like humans. So of course, it feels something and it HAS BRAIN. But I'll share some sign of my dog whenever he was dreaming. It was like there is something in his mouth that he licks and bites. It was like he was eating. LOL

I believe that dogs dream.
Sometimes my dog will growl in his sleep and sometimes he will wimper. He also moves all four feet in sync like he's running. These things lead me to believe that dogs do dream.
