Does smoking cigarettes make you loose weight?

No smoking does not help you lose weight. Some people lose the weight because they smoke instead of snacking but you can get the same results by substituting something healthy for the overeating, snacking or junk food.

I'm a smoker, and I do believe it takes away some of the appetite, but I wouldn't say it makes you lose a lot of weight. It's a stimulant but not that great of one.

oh yeah but only people with those few extra pounds tend to lose. besides you also lose your health.

it is proven that smoking actually burns calories and if you go off them you put on weight but, you only gain weight as something is needed to take the cravings away and if you stop smoking your taste buds come alive again and everything tastes better, but smoking will not make you loose weight(after all a good kiss burns calories also) so if you are contemplating taking up smoking to loose weight DON'T because you will burn more calories kissing for 20 mins a day than smoking 20 cigs a day.
