Windows Xp and Linux

Almost everybody of us are familiar with both windows Xp and Linux operating system.Between these two operating system, which one is more user friendly and which one provides us with more security?

I believe that is the simple question to answer...As for me, I strongly believe that Windows XP has better security than Linux...No offense, but Linux is an open source operating system and surely it is not as good as the paid ones...Nevertheless, Linux has advantages in terms of programming ability which XP does not really support much...I will strongly suggest to anyone who is programming a software etc. to use Linux rather than XP...Hope that answers you...=)
