Why would such lame shows be so popular?

I am tired of the show jersey shore. MTV has gone down hill for me in a few ways. What is so entertaining about girls sleeping around and guys pumping their fists? I think MTV needs to let go of the show jersey shore.

I am a fan of Jersey Shore. I live in South Florida and its funny how they were here and going to the clubs that i have been to and seeing how they live there life is great. They are not the best of people but then again are living a fantasy live of clubbing, drinking, tanning and doing there GTL lol.
Its popular because so many people do the same thing they have but have jobs and jersey shore people have jobs of people a reality star and living the fab life and getting paid for being on Jersey Shore.
They are just like all of us in real life when they werent on the shore. Well i like the show and will continue to watch it and see how they are in there life.

"they are just like all of us in real life"? that statement is as offensive as the show itself. Although there are certainly people in this world who act and live as they do,to attribute that to "all" of us is as wrong as you can get. and for those who live this kind of life, i would no more consider this a "fab" life then i would consider being homeless and poor being one.

I like the show. It's funny...personally, this is what i think...if you think that the show is disgusting...don't watch it because other people love to watch idiots go at it. I love them because they're fun to watch...But, do I agree that they should be paid all these money? Absolutely not...put that into something useful like..donate it to improving the education system or send it for food support in Africa...something like that..but, nonetheless....they are entertaining.

I completely agree. I heard so much about Jersey Shore, so last year I watched an episode. Good grief! They don't even care how they come off. And they come off as uneducated wh ore s who have nothing better to do than drink and "get busy". One of the girls, Snooki I think her name is? Some of the stuff she says makes me wonder if she ever even went to school!

I think MTV really has some quality programs.
They want to give you quality entertainement.
And then after some time shows like Jersey shore come on television.
And they keep coming. I think people like dumb entertainement.
