It amazes me how many times I hear 'Did he pay you?' when I say I married someone from the Middle East.Of course he didn't pay me what kind of question IS that, no man could pay me enough for something like marriage!! Many people may claim not to be racist or judgmental but honestly how many people do you see keeping one eye open on a red-eye flight because they're sitting next to someone with a turban? How crazy is it that after all these horrific terroist attacks all muslim arabs are just grouped together into the category of 'Terroist'. Some would be shocked to know that US hasn't been the only country that has dealt with Al-Queda attacks and even countries in the Middle East have been targeted. Al-Queda is a radical group of muslims and just like all the rest of the radical groups that's not how every single person acts. If that were the case all Germans would be considered Jew-haters, all Americans would be hippies and all Russians would be spies and that is not the case. You may love to point the finger at other countries and say Wow, what terrible people but how many serial killers and child molestors are just lurking around pretending to be a friendly next-door neightbor right here in the good ol' US of A? Millionsss. So maybe I did marry an Arab, so what?? I could've easily married an American who ended up being an alcoholic, abusive or liked child pornagraphy. My point is just to keep an open mind and not to judge someone because they have a different background than you because it's the character of a person that should be judged not their country of origin.

Very well said. So what if you married an Arab? Life's full of surprises. I believe in an ultimate plan for everyone and most probably that is what's really in store for you. Good for you! I believe that you got married for the right reason. What you said is very well explained. You could have married an American who can turn out to be a killer or something like that. And that before judging someone especially of a different race, we should at least know that person. Live happy. Good luck! =)
