Long back I heard the saying.."the age of a man is what he feels and the age of a woman is what she looks".I did not understanding the meaning at that time as I was too young. As years passed I begin to realise that there is some truth in the saying.Generally men do not care much about his physical appearance as he concentrates on other things. It is not so in the case of woman as she is always conscious of her appearance and good looks.Hence so many cosmetics and make up things for woman. My doubt again is that whether these outer things can conceal the real age of a woman.I do not know? What do you all think abot the saying...?

It's true which is why there are so many skin care products and all sorts of beauty products meant for women. All women likes to look good and beautiful. Looking youthful is an asset to us because that's what most man want in the first place. We are looking young for the sake of man, and the man we love. If man don't love us for the way we look, why would man stray in the first place right?

As you say the beauty of woman lies in her outer appearance and therefore they try to look young always by some means like cosmatics and make up and even surgery. In the case of man it is not necessary to look attractive by outward appearance. They are djusted by their inner strenth and character and that is the reason that men do not care much for their outward appearance..

Well, this is a tough one, chayapathys. You're right, women do concentrate more on their appearance than most men do. But I think it's because society expects them to be attractive in order to "catch" a man. Not all women are concerned with that. After all, the old adage "Beauty is only skin deep" is not entirely true. Real beauty is on the inside, the outward appearance is often just a mask. Literally and figuratively. Many women use a lot of make up and expensive clothes to paint a picture of youth on an old canvas. It may work for a short time and if no one ever looks really close. But you can tell, if you spend much time with her, that she is not what she appears to be. Take away the paint and fancy clothes and she is still an aging woman trying to cling to youth and preceived beauty.
Now, a truely beautiful woman is still beautiful with no paint or added finery. Her inner beauty will always shine through, even as she ages. I believe the beauty of even a plain woman, with a beautiful heart, will outlast the man and whatever age he 'feels' himself to be.

You have correctly defined what is beauty. In the case of women it is their outward physical appearance that matters much.later they may be found to be crooks but their physical appearance plays vital role in their lives.Man is attracted by his inner strength and charaacter and that is why they do not attach much importance for outward appearance.Ladies are attractive by their appeance while men are attractive by their inner strenth and character..

I could not agree more with this saying...As for me, men do not really care about how they look because what are more important to them are how they can give financial and social security to their life partner...However, women act the other way around, as most women believe that if they do not look good, they will not get married...Plus, women are emotional creature, and they feel inferior to their friends if they are not as good-looking as their friends...Men, on the other hand, is better when they are, while vice versa goes for women, as the saying goes, for men life begins at 40...^__^

Really??? im not sure about it but women tend to be more conscious of the appearance when they get older make cosmetics doesnt really helps to make an older woman's beauty looking younger however there are lots of alternative these days like getting surgery.
on the other hand age cannot really determine of women appearances because I have some friends they looks really young of thier age. but i dont know about the men..:)
