A few days ago,I was bothered by a knock on my door. When I open it, a man in his late twenties was there holding some packages. Before I could say something,he begun to talk and introduce his products, he knows what his spiels by heart and all I could do was listened until he's finish. I really have no intention to buy but as I started to close the door, he talked again and persuaded me to buy . I kept on refusing but he will not stop. He's so determined to make a sale in that moment. In the end, I bought one package and he was so pleased. I really can't believe I bought something from this sales since I am not that easy to persuade. That salesman is really good. How 'bout you, have you been persuaded by a salesman?

That's the main reason why I avoid salespeople even before they have the chance to talk since when that happens and if the person opposite you is a good salesman, chances are you're to be convinced to buy the product. At the end of the day, the salesman is really not after your needs and priorities, they're after the sale because as soon as it's made, they're gone and you're left alone wondering why you bought the product in the first place.

He must be a good salesman because he got you tricked using his ability of selling his product, i had some experiences like that but i never buy anything that they offer or signing me up for something it'll take a hardwork to persuade me to buy something but i usually ignore them to avoid any conversations. :)

Yes I did. I met lots of good salesmen before. Was the salesman good looking? (: Well the reason I ask if the salesman is good looking this is because one factor for a good salesman is his physical appearance. Not necessarily handsome, but at least he looks nice and decent. I was a salesman for 7 year and I would like to share some of my knowledge on how to become a good salesman. First factor of a good salesman was already mention on the first paragraph, second factor is PR or Personal Relationship. Well the first factor is also a good ingredient to have a good PR. Having a good PR means having a good way of convincing people. We meet different types of people in a daily basis and we sometimes met mean people, or people that we don't like to have conversation. But a good salesman must be a person, people will love to have conversation with. Third factor, salesman should have a good attitude towards work, so this almost sum-up everything, good attitude should be, patient, humble, hardworking, respectful and all the good quality you can think of. The only bad habits good salesmen have is they are LIARS. (: I don't mean to offend anyone but I guess most will agree with me on this one. lol

Thankfully by me we do not have door to door salesmen, or at least I have never encountered one. To be a good salesmen you have to have a good sales pitch and personality. Good salesmen can persuade anyone to buy just about anything. I am one though that is good about not buying things I do not need. I am polite and will tell them, politely that I am not interested when I am not. It has to be difficult for them in today's economy to make the sales.

That use to happen to me all the time in the past. Not any more. Two reasons. first is that no salespersons knock on doors in this town. Second is that i no longer fall for the sales pitch. Living on a fixed income does not allow room for much purchasing unnecessary items even if the salesperson is good.

I think it's more like "oh please, maybe if i buy something from him, he would go away soon". Some salesman won't give up until they make a sale. As for me, sometimes I will tell them politely that I have no use for the thing that they are selling and if they still insist, then like you ... I'll just buy and chuck it somewhere.
