I watched like 2000 movies in my all life and now when i watch a movie i can see in the trailer or the first 10 minutes what is going to happen because the movie industry doesnt are about a good plot. The movies of today are all about money, and im getting tired of always knowing whats going to happen specially hollywood movies.
So tell me dont you agree that they should end those cliches? I know its almost imposible but im not saying to dont use them im just saying to stop using them so often. Like the cliche of the guy getting the girl at the end or the stupid villan that points the gun but instead of shooting, talks until the good guy gets some way out of there and kills the villan.
Thanks for reading and sharing your knowledge :)

Most cliches I'm not bothered by at all. I feel like most movies these days are trying to break away from them. And call me a sucker, but I like happy endings where the guy gets the girl or the girl gets the guy and the bad guys get defeated and we all live happily ever after. When I like something like that... I don't care how many times I see it. It doesn't get old. I honestly can't think of a cliche that bothers me a whole lot.

Yeah, sometimes movie cliches are a downer. Sometimes you can already tell the ending but if I were you I'd search for tragedies where it's not really revealing the ending in any form. I suggest you watch "The New Daughter" starring Keving Costner. I think it's based from a book. You'll never know what'll happen in the end. If you're not satisfied with it, watch the first and only season of "Harper's Island". It's also a thriller about a group of people who went to an island to celebrate a wedding. You'll be thinking til the end who's really the killer.

No problem, mate. You can do yourself a favor and delete my double post. It might get in the way.

Over the years I have become immune to movie cliches, probably because I watch at least a couple of movies most days.
The trouble is that Hollywood and the movie industry has gone from being entertainment to being a business. As such the studios make movies that the mass public will enjoy. If that means another super hero movie, another romantic comedy and so on it doesn't bother them as all they care about is the profit margin. And that is why over 90% of movies are built upon cliches.
The sad thing is that there are a lot of good original movies made every year but because they are not deemed as being hugely profitable they don't get a lot of marketing or big screen promotion. Just the other day I came across a movie called "11:14" from 2003. I had never heard of it and it was brilliant, darkly funny but because it wasn't what most people would enjoy it got a very short, limited cinema release.
Unfortunately it will never change, movies made to entertain by being original will never get much exposure whilst those which will make money will fill up the cinema screens and that means more cliches for those who watch a lot of movies.

I enjoy the movie cliches. They are what cam make the movie so memorable. I wouldn't get angry with them. They bring the movie to life.

I look at it like a mystery tv-show: you know the criminal is going to be caught, the detective is going to figure out how he did it etc.; the fun part is seeing HOW the detective figures it out!

I just hate movie cliches. 3 out of the 5 movies that Ive watched recently involves the bad guy turning good and helping the main character kill some other bad guy. I totally agree with you. Holywood should really change up their plots even if it's just by a tiny bit.
