married ones, what u prefer a daughter or a son

I want my first baby to be a boy :) but for me it doesnt really matter I'll be very grateful to have children..

hi Guru99, If I am married, I want a son to be my first child. I don't know why. Boys are sweet and are good role models for little sisters. Girls have their own drama being a teen and can't teach their little brothers about life.

While preganant with my first child I wanted a little girl sooo bad.When found out I was having a boy I cried for 2 weeks.However after having my little boy I fell in love with him instantly.When pregnant 2nd time I was hoping for another boy but of course I got a girl.I have found boys and girls each have there special traits and I feel like so many of us are worrying about the wrong thing and being really selfish.I should of just hoped that whatever gender my babies were that first and foremost they were healthy.

When i was pregnant with our one and only child, my husband and i were thinking that it be a boy . We thought that it will be nicer if the eldest will be a boy so he could defend her siblings well.During those times , we don't have the ultrasound yet. The baby was always kicking on my stomach in a strong manner so that made us think that he is a boy. But lo and behold, when the baby came out it was a girl! But nonetheless, we were so happy and thankful to God! Unfortunately though, she was the first and the last because my ovaries and uterus have to be removed for some problem.

to me a child is a child.. i love girls more but it would be nice to have a boy as the first born..if his responsible enough he takes care of his siblings all their lifes as he gets respect more guickly than a daughter would

When I got pregnant, there was no preference for a boy or girl. As long as the child is normal and healthy, that is already a big blessing ;)

not all married people want children.

Welcome to mylot, guru! When I got married, I wanted two children, a boy and a girl in that order. I suppose culture and society helps us wanting that. I had two girls. I am glad I did not have a boy later on because I am sure I would have had some extra discussions with my husband about what was "man´s work" and what was "woman´s work" in the house. This generation (I´m old) is doing better in that sense. But ours started the fight for equal right for women. My husband started helping me in what he once considered a woman´s job when the girls had homes of their own and we were alone. I did not ask but I always thought that, although he was a wonder in many ways, he did not "dare" do sissy jobs in front of other people Your post is interesting and it will be interesting to have opinions from different cultures. I have a son and a daughter but I didn't care if I was having a boy or girl as long as they were healthy. I don't think it has anything to do with being married either.

ha ha ,I like this question!I do prefer a son,it has nothing to do with discremenation,it's about my dream,I want to have a handsome son and I'd like him to marry a ordinary-looking,not so beautiful but kind-hearted girl!I just want to pove that the FAIRY TALE exists now!haha ,am I a crazy mother!
