It depends on the pet for me. If it's a rabbit or a turtle, I definitely cry for some reason. But with other pets, like a goldfish for example, I don't cry. I just feel sorry for it.

Kind of with you on this. When my cat ate my beta fish I was just sort of mad, but when that same cat got hit by a car I was a mess.

I think the fact that we can't interact physically with fishes is what makes it so different. Those furry little pets you can just cuddle with are just so adorable and lovable!

I cry everytime i have to get rid of an animal or even when they pass away. I believe it is sad because you take these animals in and you talk to them and care for them like they are a child to you. There like your little baby to you and i know my little dog is my child to me and means the world to me. I do so much with him and bring him places and so without him i dont know what i would do and when he does pass it will be very heatbreaking for me.

that is so nice to hear..me too,I grew up with pets..we've had a lotta pets who passed away and over the years we always remember them.Pets are stress absorber, whenever we feel bad they're there to make us feel better, its like they understand us.When I watched Hachiko..I was terribly crying because of Hachi. Thanks for yer thoughts.. ;0

of course. that's perfectly normal. I don't know why so many people think that it's strange to cry over losing someone you love, just because that someone has fur. they may have fur, but they're still have a personality and a soul and they're a part of your life and you love them. it's less normal not to cry.

i never cry when my pets die..of course i used to love and care for them so much but when they die, i will not cry..i just feel a bit sad..and maybe this kind of act depend on our own culture..in my place, only a few people adopt a pet in their house..plus, i also live in a community which many of them eat pet-like animal such as cat and dog...a bit terrifying for me..

I certainly do. My cats and kittens are my children and grandchildren. I become very upset and depressed whenever I lose one of them.

I don't have any pets, but there are birds and animals that I am very attached to that live at the lake or in our neighborhood. I would cry if they die, for sure, especially my favorites. The bad thing is that because they live outside in the wild, they get killed by predators and disease and there's nothing I can do to prevent it. So, whenever I go look for these animals, I never know if I will find them alive or not.

Pets are really dear to us and it is natural that we would cry, if they die. It is, therefore, I do not keep any pets in my house.

I understand that it is really sad to lose a pet. I will cry if my pets die. As we already regard it as one of our family members. I love China

A pet is part of the family. It is a tragic loss to lose a pet. It is just like losing a loved one. I would surely cry at losing a pet. A piece of my heart would go with them.

I always cry, because my pet's are a part of my family. Losing my dog was comparable to losing a child, I wasn't right for at least a year after. They always manage to touch a special place inside of their owners. When they leave, that place becomes a hole that is impossible to fill, and never shrinks. It's always a gaping wound inside. Although, there are people that really don't care. These people I don't understand. However, each person is different.
