Is Age really just a Number?

I have noticed that most or some of the aged or mature people strive to look or be younger again. They usually hide their current age when someone asks for it. Do they really ignore aging? or they just want to maintain a good health and longer life?
I think they want to be still as active as younger people.
But there are also grannies who where what teens wear. Just like large dangling, and other accessories. Same with fashion. But I think there is nothing wrong with that because we all may be thinking about it when we are old.

Actually for me age is like a number only or others can also - because if you are old enough but you cannot spend those years in a worthly manner it is useless, but if you can your age is just a number. see you around

Age is not just a number I'm 62 and glad to lived to have seen it. For me I think that prople should dress and act accordingly. Things have changed so much, since I was young. For instance everyone didn't wear shorts especially if they had skinny legs. But now, skinny legs and all. Everyone likes to look nice, I do according to my age. Ihave seen older women with wini skirts on, and heard younger women say I know she did't. But I do agree age is definitely not just a number. popciclecold

Of course age is just a number, many people just react too sensitive when being asked about their age. It is not a things to be shy of. Most of the time a person age can be tell from their face where wrinkle will occur along with age. But have you ever heard of the more wrinkle you have, it shows that the more experience you are. So, it is fine to let other know your age, nothing need to be hide and you should be proud of your age. Age = experience

Age is really just a number. They only represent how long we have been living in this world but in terms of experience, age does not count for anything. One can be in their 80s or 90s, but they spend half of their lifetime alone, or staying indoors most of the time, yet a teen with more exposure can be more experienced. Age is only a guideline and it should not determine anything.

For me, age is just a matter of number that tells you how long have you been living here on earth. Aging doesn't mean that you cannot be active. Many aged - people are still doing what they are doing when they are still young. The key is, we just need to enjoy our lives no matter how old we are.

Hello, Blacksun.
I believe that aging is all in the mind. Though the physical being also is subjected to wear and tear just like all the temporary things in this world, but it is the way how you perceive you
yourself that really counts.. some of us refuses to think that we are no longer as young as we used to be and that we refuse to admit that we have limitations already. So, what we did is we try to relive the good old days when we were still young and do as much activities as we used to and wear the same things that young ones wear.
Anyways, it doesn't really matter, for me, as long as you are loving who you are and people around you are happy about it, there's no issues there, I think even if they are not happy for you being happy, I don't see a problem with it.

Age is not just a number. It's some kind of a tag on our foreheads. Some hide it to seem young in the eyes of others. Sometimes it's an advantage, sometimes it's not. It's an advantage hiding it if you really look younger than you really are. It becomes a disadvantage if you look just right or older than you really are.

Yea i think age isjust a number. Its the view of a person how he look at himself what matters. Age is going to increase anyway and we all know but its in our hand how longer we want to live by maintaining our health. Happy mylotting. Regards, harry.

I use to hide my age before because my office mates were mostly younger than me. But, they kept telling me when they came to know my age that i look a lot younger than my actual age. I myself don't feel old when i am with them because i have a slim type of body built. Besides, they treat me as if i am of their age bracket.
Because of that, i don't hide my age anymore. I let them utter "oh , i thought you are just ____. You look younger than your age. " LOL
I guess, people hide their age when they are with a group of younger persons. But when they are with the group of their same age bracket, they would readily reveal their age to boast that they don't look that old yet. LOL

I think age is relevant to where you're "at" in life, but isn't necessarily a representation of who you are. I wouldn't expect to see a 65 year old at a teen pop concert, and I wouldn't expect to see a 25 year old living in a retirement home.

Even I am of the same category who generally ashamed of telling my age. When I hide, I feel I should not be doing so. The idea behind this is very simple. My age should not be known to others. The way we think about school days or teenage, similarly we feel regretted when we think about this in future.

Hi Blacksun,
Age is all about knowing and telling yourself it is time to thank the one(s)[God and Parents] who gave you the life. That is all. Rest... It is all in your mind - the youth, old or whatever... it is for you to think and accept as you like

It's sad, if you lived all the time serious one day you want to be young and wild, you want to experience the things you couldn't experience in the right age, or you just see that young people now got much more diversity than grannies had when they were on our age. That's my explanation about their attitude. Of course always there are people who can't handle the fast growing ages and just can't realize how precious are the years, because without them they wouldn't have same experience and good lessons in life as they had.
For me the age is just a number. Nowadays we meet a lot of people, who lived different than us - some of them easier and couldn't learn their lessons in life, others of them more harder, so they become old too fast, even if they have young age, their experience is much more than the experience of some grannies.
I think that every age has it's charm and we don't have to run after numbers. We more have to run after experience, because as much as our experience help us to learn our lessons, we will be more successful and good people.

I 'm just a young girl,so I don't have such kind of question!I suppose thoese people want want to hide their real age is that they don't want people think they are old,but the truth is it's not others think they are old but themselves!the beat way to keep young is to have a young heart!and every stage has it's beautify!why asking for something that will not have but to trasure what you have!
