Is there any fellow mylotter here who works abroad or previously work abroad? I am thinking of working abroad cause I can't take my salary anymore. Many of my friends and workmate who is currently working abroad but I hardly talk to them. I would like to know how was your experiences regarding applying, choosing the agency and deployment. Are you satisfied with your work? Did all include in contracts are correct? E.g. Salary, Allowances, Job Description. I'd like to work on office works but the problem is I am an associate graduate only and most are looking for bachelor/college degree. I don't want to end up in Domestic Helper or Nanny . How much did it cost you (all fees)? Thanks in advance guys.

I don't really had experience working abroad but one of my best friend sister work in Canada. She got good salary there and the law really protect migrant worker. I think you can see about in the internet. She high school graduated and she work at tomato processing company. I think she paid really good according to my standard because now she can afford to buy her own house and go to campus to get a degree. Are they pay you really low? money this day ran out really fast because food cost really goes up in my country. I am thinking how to get extra income myself but I never really think to work abroad because I will be really hard to adjust. I must be really miss my family.

Yes friend, sad to say but I really got a low salary, I can't even live a decent life alone. Did you know that every payday, I can't even buy a good quality shoes or clothes? I also want to work in Canada but the placement fee is so high and it takes 6 months before we can work there. About missing my family, I guess I just miss them less, I am single so it's easy for me to go far from them, I'll be missing my dogs and my bf much.

There can be many possibilities. I have not lived and worked abroad, but I have travelled to many countries in different parts of the world on my business trips. Certainly very enjoyable working with people of different cultures and traditions. I understand what you are saying. It takes a while to be adjusted to the new foreign environments. But, there are very good organizations which help new comers find the right jobs and get adjusted to the place. Best wishes to you !

It is very tough to decide on a manpower agency how truthful they do their service. In 2007 i was getting calls from a manpower consultant that they will do me needful. They told me to pay Rs.75,000/- for their service but they cheated. After that i was recruited by direct company and they provided a good feel to work. So please dont believe in consultancy.Try from company direct reference

Hi Laniekins, I suggest that you work for an international company, and then request for a transfer to oversea office. In this way, you can save on the payment to those manpower agencies. You can gain experience and exposure to the international working culture, so that you will not experience a double cultural shock of living in a foreign country and working in a new company.

Well, not all International Company send their employee abroad, them pick only those qualified and needed.
