shaving labia

hello is it fine to shave my labia and outer part of it? I did it before but it was so itchy when it grows and some hairs hurts within my skin.. any idea what to use or how to get away with the discomfort after shaving?

for us men we don't usually apply anything after shaving on that part. perhaps, you are not used to shaving that part before. when i started to shave at the age of 11 - the age of puberty, there were some discomforts but it does not last a year. we really need to shave every month for our personal hygiene you know!

really, yeah i feel so clean seeing it after shaving,but some of experience like very itchy and some will turn into redness skin and sore.Im so scared... how to get rid of like feeling some small sharp like needle in skin due to the small hair that grows..especially when it touches pant or any clothes next to skin of labia.thanks for your reply by the way
