How do you feel when they say you look older than your big brother or sister?

Good Day! Well, I have a brother and a sister. I was always compared to my sister. The age bracket is 3 that's why I still look older than them but I think its only for now because they're still high school students. I think they would look different when they grow up. I was always compared to my sister. They said we look like twins but I don't agree. Maybe I'm just a blind girl. Hahaha! But at pictures, they thought we have the same age. Is it me who looks young or is it her who looks old? I'm confused but I don't know who looks better because for me we're look different though others told us we look the same but I was once shocked when my friend told me that she saw a picture of my sister. At first, she thought it was me but then its not. Its my sister. When I checked the picture, Oh my God! She looks just like me! I'm high school that time and my sister is only grade three. Same place, at the church because its Holy Communion.I also have that picture but taken in a different angle. But I like it when others tell us we look like twins or that we have the same features. :)

hi, its already happened to me, my sister is older than me, and because i was stress,haggard and sleepless, i am really looks older than her, so my friends asked me if i am the older to my sister, and i just laughed,and say no,,im the youngest.

I think I should take it as a complimentary. My wife and I are look alike and some friends are mistaking us as brother and sister. Also, our face looks younger than our age, something like five years younger in terms of looks. I'm now 34 years old and I look like 29 years old and my wife also looks younger. I guess I feel so privileged when people say that, I think it's a wonderful gift from God that it may be that we live happily when we are younger and before getting married. I believe this will have effect on your looks.

Well me even though I am the oldest I am often mistaken as the youngest and it feels really good to be told that I look the youngest because if they said oh so your the oldest I would feel old and not so pretty, I guess being young for me means a lot because I love to feel young I don't like to feel old and I don't even look my age which is really good. Who knows people take it differently, but for me I will always be the youngest no matter what even though I am the oldest,hurray. I will also try and keep my young image up by eating the right foods and by exercising because that right there does help out a lot.

WHen it comes to sisters, we would like to be seen as someone younger when we are actually older. All woman wants to look young and pretty. When it comes to boys, they tend to be the opposite, wanting to look older than they really are because they want to show that they are a man. I'm the big sister in the family, yet i'm looking much younger than my brother and i'm fine with it. After all, he's taller and has a bigger build than me.

hi lance, Well i am the youngest one and i can say that my sister is prettier than me uuuhhmmm...am i pretty? hahhaha! everytime people see us together and ask who is the older one the shocked reaction was on her face if i say i am the youngest one well for me it's not the big deal anymore because i used to it . happy posting

Personally I have never had to worry about being told I look older than someone in my family as I was the oldest child out of 5. But I can remember everyone always thinking that my sister who is almost 3 yrs younger than me thinking she was the oldest as we were growing up, and it used to bug me. Seriously though now, if anyone thought that well I guess it would be how a person presents themselves. I know most days I look way younger than 46.

Well, I am the second oldest among my siblings and it's gotten to the point where things like this doesn't really bother me anymore. I'm just grateful that no one has mistaken one of my younger siblings as my kid or something like that. That would have been strange. People actually think that I'm a few years younger then I am though so I guess that's a good thing. My sister is the one that deals with this a lot though. People always mistake her for being a lot younger then her age. Sometimes they even mistake our youngest brother as being older than her. It's really no big deal because we are all close in age.

The last time I was compared to a sibling about looks was 8th grade. A male class mate saw a picture with my sister in it and commented that I should take beauty lessons from her. Now I suppose I was supposed to feel bad but I didn't. I used to believe not too long ago that youth equated to beauty so I was very worried about getting older. I realize now that isn't true.

I'm afraid I can't bear the burden of that kind of problem. i am already the oldest sister in the family. I would probably feel discouraged if i was the younger sister and someone were to say that I looked older than my sibling.

My older sister looks younger than I and I am still now habituated to pass such remarks from my relatives, friends. But I never mind.

i haven't been told about this, on the contrary, it is my younger sister who has heard a lot of these similar comments which she has come to be accustomed to.

My brother and I looks totally alike by face and height. Though long before I used to be jealous with him since he's the family's favorite. But as we go along, i gained the respect I wanted from him. And with the question, hmmm... I'm happy to share that he looks older than me, though by built and structure I look bigger.LOL
