Do you think there is idolatry in Catholics? Idol worshiping. A figure representing a deity. Is this a sin?

well yes it is. to worship something or someone apart from God alone is a grave sin because it is included in the ten commandments. the first and the third commandment tells about it... God should always come first to one's priority. And should be paramount of every thing you live for.

that's the problem with them, they have relics, statues, saints, etc. why not just focus on Jesus Christ alone? i have nothing against them but i hope they realize that. but there are some catholics without relics and statues at their churches, well that's quite considerable.

Whenever you walk into a catholic church you kind of have to wonder about the idolitry thing don't you? I mean you are inundated with it. The orthodox churches have even more.

It makes me wonder how idolatry became big in catholicism when it was a sin. Is it that tempting?

Yes,there is idolatry in Catholics which was self-created and was not preached by any Prophet before. In fact Polytheism or idolatry was the biggest sin since beginning due to which most of the old people were punished and destroyed by God Almighty.Later on some religious people made changes in the divine books and they also changed the list of the biggest sins to allow Polytheism to their people. But Polytheism ,idolatry or grave-worship is the biggest and only unforgivable sin in the Holy Quran, the last and most protected divine book.

I think it is. King Solomon committed such a sin right? I think God punished him for that. But I don't think that Idolatry is included in the seven deadly sins. Have a nice day!
