What Do You Think Happens When You Die?

I just rehd an "Amazing Facts" Bible Study (ask me for links) that affirms that--when you die--your body sleeps, your spirit goes to God, and your soul ceases to exist (as it only exists with the combination of spirit & body).
They have Scriptural citations to back all that up, leading to my disbelief in "The Bible as The Word-of-God" (as said once, "The Word-of-God is His Promise, nothing more;" you may find it in The Bible, but God FROM NOW is mightier than His Own Word from before.)
The spirit DOES go back to God, but who says God can't send the spirit back to the body? The Bible is the shepherd's rod, which moves the good flock unto the Lord's meadow; but I am (like many are) of 'sheep of mottled wool, thrown out of the common flock'---as were the sheep that went unto Jacob (who became Israel), ancestor of David, ancestor of Jesus.
And--if Jesus made His Way by being a disrupter of the flock when the flock was headed the wrong direction--How could we follow Jesus without disrupting the flock? The flock that says you go somewhere else when you die, the flock that believes satan's lies of "an immortal soul," the flock which Jesus calls His True Church out-of?

I am going to be really honest here and say I am not sure what exactly happens after we die. I have been told and taught that we go to heaven, while others say hell. Me I believe we go to heaven, as living on earth, can be a beautiful time in some peoples lives, I find that it is hell in comparison to the kingdom of heaven.
So what happens to me after I die, is that I will go back home to God to heaven to live with God to continue his intentions of providing spiritually up in heaven as he has loaned me out to the world with the intention of helping those here.

no young man ever think he shall die. he may believe that others will or assent to be doctrine that men are mortal but he could not bring it home to himself individually.

Because we never really "die" unless we are forgotten by the universe.

I beleve your body does leave your soul but only in our sence of liner time........ Let me explain. I have a theory that everything is a cycle we see examples of it all the time....our earths core, trees, breathing, animals, planets , etc.........Well what I suppose is that when you die our cycle restarts and we begin anew just like reincarnation but it's our lifes our years we just do them again only to change slightly each time (de'ja vu) . But that is just a theory I have.... Crazy but a theory.

Not thinking of religion, I agree. In fact, I might even bring in religion and suppose that we are all just asleep in Heaven and that Earth & stuff is just dreams we have while we're there.
