A catalogue sent my Mum the wrong cooker, they did then also send the right one but have not collected the other one yet and it's been 6 weeks. When she phones they tell her someone will call her from the returns department and they don't. Does she have any rights in keeping the cooker and not paying for it if they don't collect it after a certain amount of time?

If they did not send you a return label and you thought you had opened the right box. You made several attempts to get a return label then yes they should not charge you but you should have the name date and time of whom when ...you talked to and the information exchanged.
