First of all, you have to spend your money wisely. It's possible to be very frugal and still be content and well-satisfied.
When shopping, always be on the lookout for bargains, discounts and products with bonus freebies. Try to cut on your lavish expenses and settle for what is the most important (sometimes, even the barest necessities are forgotten because we spend too much on useless pricey things).
Lastly, try to save your surplus cash for future use. You'll never know when an emergency expenditure will show up. It's always wise to be ready all the time.
This is a great discussion, aprilsong! Have a nice day.

Yes, you are right. To spend money wisely is the top prority of saving money. And there are lots of ways to do this, if only we use our head.
And other tip to save money is to stay healthy. You know, health is the first wealth. When you lose it, you lose everything. Especially in the period medical costs is extraordinary high.

My husband and i now bring our foods for lunch at our offices. I would set aside a part of the dinner in two separate containers and bring it with us to our respective offices for lunch. they don't get spoiled because it's super cold in our airconditioned offices. We now also bring sandwiches for our snacks and so with my husband . I prepare them while having breakfast.
I do not buy those junk foods anymore, which my husband and i would eat in the evening after dinner, while watching TV. I told my husband salty foods are the cause of eyebags, which i have read is true. LOL
I now buy toothpaste whose brand isn't the most popular one, because it's way cheaper. Even those dishwashing pastes, i buy those that costs less, because their efficacies are just the same.
Most of all, i simplify our needs and live within our means only.
