Till now i have always been using nero for burning my cd and dvd`s but i find nero too bloated a software with unecessary tools and bundles softwares along with the regular burning tool.
It freezes the system on many occassions.
I have heard a lot of reviews about Roxio, that its much better than nero.
what do you people have to say on this?

I've tried nero some time ago and I agree is too heavy and full of useless tools.
Never heard about that Roxio.
I use PowerISO for all my burnings and it's really good and fast, also comes with a virtual CD drive mounting, so with it bye bye DaemonTools. So far it gave me no problems.

I still using Nero, i use it since i buy my first CD Recorder, got no complains about it. I tried Roxio once, but didn't like too much, maybe because i was used to Nero.
I just think the last 2 or 3 versions of Nero is very Heavy and a little slow to start. Hope they fix it in their next version.

Though Nero is big and sometimes it may freeze your system, it is really good. Using Nero, you can burn good cd or dvd. I'm just one of the fans of Nero. Things have two sides, take Kaspersky for instance, it is tough enough to protect your computer, but sometimes freezes the system, too. Haha, to choose which software, it depends on your own needs.
