Greetings!
For its better if students should concentrate first before fighting what's best for the society because they don't have enough power. They would just be distracted. If they're educated, they can do better things for the society than just being a student so students must focus and prioritized what must be prioritized. Like me, I'm a student that's why I'm concentrating on my studies. I don't get bothered with the happenings around me because there's nothing I can do as of now that's why I'll finish my studies first so that I can help in having a better society. :)

i don't think that those two are completely disjoint.
getting an education or learning should not be confined within the classrooms because what we get from classrooms ought not to stay there; they should be brought outside and applied. students are and will always be a part of society and they (or should i say 'we') should participate in it.
i'm not talking about fault-finding and screaming about what the government is doing wrong. it's about putting an end to the evils by not being part of the problems--by being the solutions.

I think it is part of the experience, becoming a part of society, being well informed, and becoming active. Can also be teaching them about government. As long as it does not take from the studies too much.

I don't think that students should feel the need to fight all of the evils that we see happening in society. However, I also don't think that students should turn a blind eye to to evils that happen in society either. What I think that students should do, they need to choose their battles. As children are choosing their battles, they need to choose their battles wisely. Not everything is worth fighting over, but not everything can be ignored.

Students around the world have a long history of fighting on our (society's) behalf. We are all in a lot better situation than we would have been had they not participated in so many struggles. Of course, it is better if they were not needed to perform outside of their colleges. But, we know that somewhere, some time, they will be out to protect our rights again.
Thanks to all students!

In my country, Malaysia, the students are not allowed to participate in the political activities.
This restriction is right since there were so many students involved in demonstration in our neighbor country, Indonesia.
Students who involve in political or to fight all of the evils prevailing in the society will be suspended.
Students should concentrate in their studies.
They are knowledgeable but they are lacking of experience in this society.
The students are still not mature. They always assume that they are knowing very much.
Consequently, they are misled and used by certain group of people to make trouble in this society.

We so need the input of this age group, this is the time of life when you have the ideals and the energy to put into improvement of humankind. Once this is past very few of us can continue to devote ourselves to these issues. Bless the ones that do, the rest of us get tied up in day by day living and when we look up and care it's just beyond our ability to do much.

As with anyone else, if it in their heart to fight then they should fight. Afterall, that society is the one in which they will be taking that education..and, hopefully, not blindly ignorant of it to be trampled by it..You can't run the race if you don't know the course. Social issues are a big part of that course..ENJOY!

We all know there are great minds that started on the road of doing what they do today back in college. The biggest ones are the facebook guy and Bill Gates. A student should not be limited to purely academics as learning in class and from a book are only two tools for a great education.

i do believe study with teacher or professor is the most important thing for the students when they choose to be at school. but this is of course not the end, they study for the society and for their lives,so it would be better to get touch with the society at leasure and try to have more information of the world they are living. then they will become skillful to have a nice work and be absorbed by the society quickly.

When hubby was in service, i was always with him, he seved for long 45 years in colleges, i have seen students from very near, in general most are good, but some take admission just for the sake of fun, some polititical leaders are with them always..
I think they can come forward to solve many problems in the society, if they like

Students ARE the glittering-jewel at the top of the tower on the highest hill. They aren't The Source of the light, but the light is only good after it shines through them!
They of course will SEE the evils and goods of society, and will point them out (which they are better able to do, as they are seperated by the college-environment's shoten zenjin---the barrier between it and -the 'real world').
Seeing the causes of the evils, they can either aid us in eliminating those causes or -aid us in better negotiating with the sansho shima (demons & obstacles) that create the evils' causes.

Hi!
Students no doubt play an important part in shaping up and building up the image of a society. To my view, not only students but every citizen should come forward to fight the evil. S/he should take the initiative and should remember that - "charity begins at home". If we start behaving ourself, ills of society will gradually decrease.

I think it important to be aware as a student, but not to get into fights because they need more world experience before they try and start altering society. Through their studies and subsequently their careers, they will be part of societ, and then they could bring changes about through their career in their own line of expertise. I know from my own experience, that I thought I knew how to fix everything, but how could I know that, when men and women have been struggling to know that for thousands of years! _Derek

There are a lot of evils prevailing in our society. Students who are still in their growing up years are still learning what life is all about. They can fight all evil but with their own power, they can't prevail. I think that not only the students but all of us should start fighting those evil by living a life that is honest, holy, and doing things properly. It must start with ourselves before we can even think of fighting the force of evil around us.

I think this is the way forward for students to give back to the society. In my country students go out and inform societies on how governement function, effect of globalization, HIV AIDs etc. They are an important sector of human resource to be used.

I think all the students have to be prepared for how to taclke the relatioship between society and university .the society are developing so fast that many knowledge that students are learning in the university is do later than that the real world need students to have to learn.
in a word ,students need to pay attention to the society and to learn better their lessons to strong themselves in the future when they enter into the society

I think students should also be aware of what's going on in the society if they want to gain wisdom. What they learn from school are just theories that sometimes are difficult to apply in real life and sometimes aren't even realistic at all.
It's good when students are aware of the problems in the society and do something about it rather than being dumb of all the things happening around them.
