Australia downunder is under raging flood waters. The current was so strong that an inland tsunami deepened the agony of the folks down there. It was deathly enough to find oneself in a nightmarish flood, but a tsunami was death itself... Many lives were lost, who knows how many still are unaccounted...
But the same is happening in Brazil, so the news says...
And right here in my homeland, the south is filled with maddening flood!
After the devastation that crippled the whole of Northern Philippines just over a year ago, many had turned to sincerely cleaning their areas of garbage and planting trees. I, for one, added an avocado plant in front of my lot. But there's a whole lot more to do to save the earth. I tell everyone to manage their waste disposals, like water bottles must be sent to recycling, and old newspapers and cartons, too. Littering, even in one's own home, is no longer an option. Cleanliness, to quote an old maxim, is next to Godliness...
I really like to believe that we can still temper God's anger, if everyone of us does our part. For every natural disaster is an act of God. And only God can calm the winds and the waters...

We do take it seriously. We had tree planting and we try our best not to use styros or plastics. However, it seems that the little effort that we make is not sufficient to save earth. What we need to do is to educate the masses. A concerted effort is required to save what little that we have and to rehabilitate our dying environment.

Hi eileenleyva, I agree that these are troubling times but I don't think that it means that God is angry and we have to still his temper but I respect your right to believe that.I think it's okay to disagree as long as people think that way. We need to take good care of our home planet, not just for ourselves but for generations to come. Blessings.

yes, its really frightening what's happening now a days.On the news all we see and hear are really alarming.Floods, tsunamis, landslide and others are all the effects of what we have been doing lately.Mother Earth now is showing us the ill results of deforestation, garbage disposal and industrialization. This is now the time for us to make corrective actions before it s too late. Thanks for the timely topic.

I'm glad you want to make a difference. Our planets situation however was caused by horrible production practices by large industry. Even if this situation was reversible we can't stop the destruction of our rain forests and the pollution caused by industry. Even as hundreds of thousands loose their lives because of it, it's not stopping. I too have lived a life of trying never to pollute, setting a good example and showing my children how to do the same thing. People still through their batteries in the trash and break the law in the pursuit of saving a buck.

Yes I am seriously taking global flooding seriously because I experienced the presence of flood many times. But I never blame God because it is man's fault. Man's negligence.

Well, everyone complained about "global warming" so I guess God got tired of hearing it and gave us water! Ergo the warning.."watch what you ask for"!!!

hi eileen here in southern California God has seen fit to give us two days of the most delicious sunny warm days after unrelenting pounding rain and mudslides and flooding. No more stories of unthinking motorists who tried to drive their vehicles trough raging flood waters only to get stranded and have to get on top their cars and cell p hone for help. Now outside of Laguna Beach where they are still picking up and shoveling mud out of homes and businesses all is like it had never rained but the ground is very soggy. I feel for those in Australia who were hit even harder and hope we can appease our Father by trying to clean up the mess we have made of our lovely world.

Flooding in different parts of the world really alarms me. This is because our country is not exempted from such kind of calamity. Men ruined the earth and so they are reaping the bad fruits. They have converted many forests into either industrial or residential area so that the trees that used to hold flood water are no more. Men have converted the creeks, the streams, the rivers and even the sea into big garbage disposal areas. Now they have to pay for the price! Many lives and properties are taken by floods and I wonder how we could ever elude the wrath of mother nature.
This world indeed is going to a big, big destruction and we need to pray for God's mercy.

I don't believe that all is the God's anger! It's only the consequence of what we done before.

I friend, I'm so glad that you are concerned about the environment as much as I am, I'm also very happy that you teach and tell people how to dispose of their waste properly. Yes maybe there is still time for all of us to ask God's forgiveness and change our ways, let's all be sorry for how man treated his wonderful creation, perhaps we can still appease him with what little each of one can do but taken collectively would be a large step towards change for the better, God bless all of us and please don't forget to say a little prayer to all those who are suffering right now in different parts of the world.
