Have you heard that they might be changing the zodiac to include 13 signs which means you might no longer be a Cancer (or Leo or Gemini, etc.) According to an article I read, the current familiar zodiac did not calculate the "wobble" of the Earth of its axis when looking at the alignment of the sun and stars. So according to the possibly "new" astrology chart, here are the new list:
Capricorn: Jan. 20-Feb. 16
Aquarius: Feb. 16-March 11
Pisces: March 11-April 18
Aries: April 18-May 13
Taurus: May 13-June 21
Gemini: June 21-July 20
Cancer: July 20-Aug. 10
Leo: Aug. 10-Sept. 16
Virgo: Sept. 16-Oct. 30
Libra: Oct. 30-Nov. 23
Scorpio: Nov. 23-29
Ophiuchus: Nov. 29-Dec. 17
Sagittarius: Dec. 17-Jan. 20
So according to this, are you the same sign? I'm still an Aquarius (Yay!) but my boyfriend is no longer a Gemini (:/)

Oh, I don't hear about this!
If the Zodiac is changed, I'll become a Virgo instead of Libra? I don't like it.
I realize that I'm a true Libra, hihi :)

Yeah, my boyfriend is a gemini but according to this "new" zodiac he would be a taurus which does not match who he is at all. So I finally found a website that explained it a little bit. This is what I found

That certainly is mind blowing. I don't know who I am any more !! This is making me re-align my thoughts about astronomy and astrology. Astrologers may need to call an international conference ( on top of a mountain , somewhere ) and re-write astrology ! Amazing !

LOL. It boggled my mind too, but I started a new discussion that helped explain it a bit more.

I don't like this at all. I am a sagittarius and now according to this, I am not. I fit my sign perfectly and I don't want to be an Ophiuchus. What the heck is that? That doesn't even sound like a real thing. lol. At any rate, I don't think that it would change the people who have already been born under the "old" zodiac chart, just the new ones. I was still born under the Sagittarius sign. I think that this just applies to new persons being born. Well I'll just wait and see how this develops. I'm willing to keep an open mind.

I actually found a site that explains how this relates to most people.

Based on it, it seems like it really depends on which zodiac you follow- Eastern versus Western.

This is the reason I have the least tilting towards astrology. So far a person had been in a particular zodiac sign and everything was calculated taking only the basis of those signs.
Now addition of one more where some people would stand and who would calculate their fortunes and all.

oh my god, this article in that newspaper is really disconcerting. It is stunningly ignorant of astrology and the zodiac(s) they use, and claims things that astrologers have to put up with almost ever since the precession of the equinox was discovered. (In the year 2/300 or so). This is such crap (not your article vjenkins) but this newspaper nonsense. They pretend astrologers are not aware of the precession of the equinox but astrologers are simply wary of such ignorance, since they have had to put up with this kind of newspaper comment for so long already. So you can all keep your sunsigns as they are, because they relate to the sun's passage, as perceived from earth, in one year, and the sunsigns as they are remain. We don't even need the 13th Ophiuchus sign, which is also nothing new..
