Crazy thoughs :when hydrogen is combustible &Oxygen supports combustion then y doesn't water burn? as far as we know water is made of h20 nd 02......

When apart, hydrogen and oxygen are extremely combustible; very true. However, when they react to form water, their individual properties are completely lost. This is true for any compound. Elements lose their individual properties when they bond, and the resulting compound is different physically and chemically.
But to answer your question...think of water as the ashes of combustion...therefore, it can never be the source. Water is a result of hydrogen being burned in oxygen (simple combustion reaction).

That's really crazy.It's just like that carbon and oxygen,too.It's just because they had been burnt.They form new chemical bonds and become a new matter,water.All the atoms in the water molecule have used all of their electron pairs which are able to bond.That's why.
