My children and I simply love egg tarts. Have you ever eaten them before? Has anyone tried baking them before? I'm looking for a simple recipe that does not require that many steps.

I used to make them and i had a really easy recipe but I lost it. :( Sorry. I think I will hunt down a recipe and try again...although first I'll have to go to the store and get some eggs.

hi Wdiong, don't say you and your children. I loved egg tart so much. Every now and then I will visit bakery for these egg tarts. The price has relatively went up these days. Still, I love their taste. I do know how to bake an egg tart. Here's are the simple steps. 1. Mix confectioner's sugar and flour in a medium sized bowl. Mix butter in with fork to make it like crumbs, stir in vanilla and egg until it got completely mixed or blended in and seems like dough. Then make balls sized at 1 and half inch and form the shape of egg tart mold with your finger. 2. boil sugar in water till completely dissolved, put eggs into it. Then stir in evaporated vanilla and eggs and put the end result into the egg tarts mold. 3. heat an oven at 230 degree Celsius or 450 Fahrenheit. After heated, put the egg tarts into the oven and for 15 to 20 minutes until you see them looked like cooked egg tarts.

I have never done this but the recipe shown sounds difficult. I imagine that they are awesome but I would also like an easier recipe. There are many recipes I have from my grandmother that I made simpler with the aid of kitchen gadgets.
