We must love ourselves first before we can love someone else?

Of course you have to love yourself first before you can love someone else. How could that person loves you if you don't love yourself or how can you give love to your other half if you don't love yourself :) You cannot say that "no one can love me" how about your family? but of course, time will come that you will find someone who will love you for who you are. Maybe he/she is just around the corner waiting for you to noticed him/her. Goodluck!

That thing will only happened if the person you love is no longer in your hand. That's the only time you'll realized that you pour all your love to the special someone and forget to love your self. You left nothing in the end. The reason why people need to take a break after a failre relationship is to give more time for her/him self to heal, fix his/her self and regain love. In loving ones self it doesn't need someone for us to love our self. But in most cases we tend to forget to do that we only realized if everything we have are already taken.

Greetings! I agree. We won't be able to love others if we don't love ourselves but for me its both good. Its good to love others first too because those people would return back the love you had given them and therefore, your life would be meaningful for others which is really a good because you're not worthless. When we say we must love ourselves first, it means you take good care of yourself first. You prettify yourself and perhaps educate yourself well. In addition, see to it that you are beautiful too from the inside , meaning you have a good character. Having done that, you now have the confidence that you will be loved by others .

very very good topic .i really appreaciate the idea of loving ourself william shakespear said "in thy face i see honor ,truth and loyalty". well i say that instead of looking at others we should try to see honor ,truth and loyalty whithin ourselves.we would be able to give honor ,truth and loyalty to others only if we give it to overselves in first place.... and the greatest secret is that "when we love ourselves,people fall in love with us".

Very true, and I really agree with your opinion. If we do not love ourselves how can we love others. When we love others we certainly treat it like we treat ourselves. For example, we do not like heckled so we will not criticize anyone else, right.

Everything starts from ourselves, We can make others love us, if we can convince these people to make our loves. To convince other people make love ourselves, we must know why he should love ourselves. To find out why we are worthy of love we must know who we are and why we deserve to be loved.

I, too, believe that we can only love another person if we love ourselves first. I don't think that no one loves us. God loves us and we, ourselves love our own and also our family loves us... the world is full of love...
