I happen to know this guy who loves his cousin so dearly that it is almost a rarity for him not to be seen with her all the time. I am also aware that this practice of one day marrying one's own cousin is frowned upon by many countries, not excluding the US. Personally, I am not against this, mostly because he is my friend, also because there should be nothing wrong to love someone he or she may never find anywhere else. Any thoughts on this would be most welcome.

I have learned that in the earliest civilization, it is not forbidden to marry your own brother or sister since there are no other people to marry. However, when men began to multiply upon the face of the earth, I remember reading a passage in the Bible that it is forbidden to marry your own brother or sister. There is a curse associated with it. I think that a third cousin is alright but not a first cousin. Whatever people decide to do, it's their own choice. Blessing to you.

Agree. Thanks for sharing your opinion. What exactly do you mean by third cousins?

In this world we cant help who we fall in love with, and people will always frown upon people who fall in love with their cousins as it asks a moral question?. I personally wouldnt date my cousin as i think that it is a little strange but i suppose some people hardly knows there cousins so maybe its ok?.
