Sonu Nigam no doubt is a good singer with versatile talent, today we have in our film industry. He has contributed a lot to the World of entertainment in the form of host, singer and mimicry artist. his contribution to the Bollywood and Television at such young age is really worth appreciating. But then I differ with your opinion when he is compared with great singers Kishore Kumar and Mohmad Rafi etc. The old singers like KishoreKumar, Mohmad Rafi, Manna Dey, Hemant Kumar all these people they had thirown specialities and they are know for the traits ! Though it is really difficult to choose a favorite amongst these great singers as I like all of them as singers , today I would like to talk about Kishore Kumar. Kishore Kumar born in a small place Khandwa, without having any background of music and formal training has given the contemporary form to Indian Film music. Before his entry into the Bollywood the songs were flat with heavy base and had a classical touch. It is Kishore who has given a modern touch and created a name light music in the film World. He was expert in expressing the emotions. His serious songs , we can take any one of them right from Mera Jeevan Kora Kaagaj, Zindagi Ka safar, Zindagi Ke safar mein etc he practically poured out his heart and he takes us into the song without our realisation. The pain, emotion and the depth of the expressions are felt when we hear such songs. On the other hand while singing light songs like in Padosan Mere Saamne wali Khidki, in Chalti ka Naam Gadi, Paanch Rupaiyah Bara Aana, he is simply hilarious and it can be clearly felt in the song. Now after his sad demise I have realised that he was a singer who used to mend his voice according to the actor whom for he is singing. Just follow few songs of his, for that matter play any video cassette of Kishore Kumar, I am sure you will get carried away with the hero without realising the fact that it is being sung by the great singer Kishore Kumar.That is some thing very special to this great performer. His contribution to the Hindi cinema brought him laurels as a one of the first Five World famous comedians during his days when he was acting in films. His eccentric behaviour and mistrust though brought him some bad name and some what not very successful married life, I think he had a method in his madness which made him great and unique! There won't be any end if I start quoting his achievements and his famous life time episodes, so at the end all I would say is such people are not born every day, it would take many years to have a singer like him in our Industry! My favourite band is Arctic Monkeys they have realised some brilliant songs, and there b-side tracks are just as good, I can't wait for there next album. I also like a a lot of new up and coming bands such as two door cinema club who released one of the best albums I have ever listened to.

hi Somnath, i also like Sonu, he sing very well and forget things when i hear his voice, i also like music of AR Rehman, He is the most popular musician of India. Hope both are known after many many year and get rewarded for their awesome work

my favorite band is westlife because they make timeless hits and they never fail to entertain their fans. nowadays,i like the songs of katy perry, taylor swift, and bruno mars. i also like legends like bon jovi, carpenters, and beatles.
