True or False: Female's choose for a less attractive partner

I read in a article that women usually pick a partner which is less attractive than themselves. The reason for this according the paper was that this gave them a feel of security, in the sens that their partner will not easily cheat on them or break up with them. Then i started to look if this was right in one or the other way. And i found out that it is. In my near surroundings i found out that it was true to some extent. Well i'm not trying to provocate something i just want to hear from u girls if you think that this is true. Do you recognize yourself in this? So is it true that you choose a less attractive partners than yourself, or is this just nonsense.
