How many people can say that at some point in their life they have been approached by someone that was out to deceive them. Telling you one thing when they really meant something else. They were on some kind of agenda that was only to benefit them and didn't care how it affected you. We all try to look pass people's faults and be forgiving but when these same people keep trying to deceive you how can you keep forgiving and forgiving. In most cases these people are considered to be Antichrist or demons which is a leader who fulfills Biblical prophecies concerning an adversary of Christ, while resembling he in a deceptive manner. The Antichrist will seemingly provide for the needs of the people but deny the ultimate salvation. Does this sound like some people you might know, I could name a few. Everyday someone is out there deceiving you with their action and their words trying to make you a believer that they have a pure heart. I'm sure we have these kind of people in our families, our homes, our jobs, our neighborhoods and our churches. We can pray for them and ask God to change them but if they aren't will to change then how can God help them. God is only going to do what you allow him to do, now how about that!! People want to change but aren't willing to be changed, can't let go of what's been dragging them down for so long. Always trying to keep you in the same place that they are so you can't prosper now you stuck and most of the time these are people that are close to you like your brother, sister, children, husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, friends in general. Someone is out to deceive their next victim and be alright with it in their hearts. Imagine that we all are victims of the Great Deceiver!!!

I can only think of one since you have said "the great", the rest will be his followers. Satan is the great deceiver, an accuser of a brethren. No matter how you have defined what a deceiver was, it will only come to one point who is the origin of it and Satan is best for that. But instead of focusing on being deceived, why not focus on getting to know the truth since the truth shall set us free. God's word is there for us to be guided. We needed the help of the Holy Spirit too with regards to reading God's Word. A person who says he read the scripture cover to cover will definitely not know the whole of it if he just stop reading it. The Word of God gives us a lot of enlightenment and truth no matter how many times we read such verse or chapter. I am not worried or troubled if the deceiver is out there, no matter where, the main point is, do you know the TRUTH? did you share the TRUTH?

Deceiver are everywhere. And the greatest ones are those who are just beside us.And I agree with you that most of the times they are the people that are so close with us, friends, siblings , parents, husband or even our children. Why?We are so vulnerable to those people we trusted so much as they have all the power to effortlessly betray our trust.

Nobody wants to be deceived but sometimes you cannot help yourself from being deceived by others. They sweet talk to you when they are with you but behind your back they are not that good at all. When i discover a person to have deceived me, i confront her. I would really tell her about how angry i was for deceiving me and i would not deal with her anymore nor want to see her anymore. Should she ask apology and mean it, i will accept it and be cautious already. But if she didn't , it's still okay with me but i will never again talk to her anymore.
