Good idea or bad idea to shop for laptops on ebay?

Hello apples99, I think purchasing items like mobile phones, laptops and other expensive electronic items at ebay is not worthwhile. As you talked about a laptop, I think you should either buy it from your local trusted retailer or from the company direct. Last year I bought a Dell laptop online but from the company itself. That was better. They are responsible for everything. Also we get the item at lesser rate as compared to ebay or any other online shop.

I would prefer buying gadgets from a local store, because it's much easier to determine if the thing you'll be planning to buy is legit or has a defect. And on eBay, i think when you buy a gadget there, there wouldn't be a warranty with what you will be getting in the future.

There are tales about getting bricks, or even pictures of laptops, you can complain, but there's really not a whole lot you can do...

i don't know in reality i think that for expensive goods it cna be a little bit risky..so if you want buy on ebay some hardware or cheap goods it cna be ok because you can save money and even the risk is really low...but for expensive goods a laptop i think it would eb better something of safer...

I don't really think it's ever much of a good deal to buy a used laptop, unless you know the seller and know the reason why they are selling it in the first place. As far as buying a new one from ebay, it's important to look at the sellers rating, how many items the seller has sold, and read what others have said about the products they bought about what they bought. It is also important that there are many good pictures of the item and a very in-depth description. Try to ask the seller any other questions that you can think of and be sure to know and understand the return policy. If there is a "all sales final" policy, I personally wouldn't want to buy it. Ebay will help you out if the item is not as described, but there could always be complications. I recommend that when buying items like this that cost a lot buy from an ebay store instead of just a random person.

hi there... i guess its not that a good idea buying laptop via ebay because you cant personally test the laptop itself. your not sure if it will really work. how if you already paid the item and yet its diffective. unless you know the buyer much and your too confidence with regards to the seller. bless you.. enjoy mylotting

hello, hmmmm, I already bought a laptop in an ebay and it was fine and now here what I am using . buying laptop in ebay is more cheap than the other. right? . But always remember when buying a laptop in ebay you should look if there is a defect to it if it has dont buy it. okay? and you must meet up to the person selling it for them to explain to you what are the features of it for you to understnd.
