Please help, my Sims are never happy

I just recently bought the Sims 3 Deluxe version for my PC. At first I really enjoyed playing it, but now I'm starting to find it rather annoying. I make sure to take care of all their personal needs, fun, hunger, social...etc...etc. Those are all green bars all the way, yet when I look at their mood meter it's always red & it says they are miserable. I don't understand. I thought as long as you took care of all their personal needs & completed their goals then they were supposed to be happy, but their not. Can someone please tell what it is that I am doing wrong here because I haven't got a clue!!

I guess I'm a little late in answering this one, but I will make the effort just the same. I think that it's just like in real life. Just like we want to be happy so do your Sims. Just give them whatever it is that will make them happy. I'm only guessing of course since I don't play this game or any video games really. It's not that I don't want to. I just have very little spare time being a full time Mom of two.

I haven't played this game in I don't know how long. Facebook came out with a new game called the Sims Social & I now play that game whenever I have some free time.

Give them a smaller place to live with things being easier to acess so they can be a bit more indeoendant.

Yeah I tried that but it didn't work. Turns out my Sims are very spoiled & they just wanted all the comforts of home whether I could afford them or not....LOL
