I have been using convert x to dvd but sometimes it doesn't seem to play on my dvd player. I want a top of the line program that will do everything and is fairly user friendly, I have installed total video player and converter but I haven't had the time to get used to it. I hate wasting dvd's especially when I try to burn a game. Can anyone give me some advice on this problem; it will be greatly appreciated. Tell me what software you use and how you like it.

Strange you are having issues with that. I've used it since version 2 and its upto what 5/6 now? Have you changed dvd/cd media recently? Check your preferences to make sure its saving your location etc for region purposes. Also if youre only getting say 1 bad disc out of 50 then thats not so bad. Just how many on average aren't working for you? Are they out of the same bundle of discs? What kind of discs are you using?

I really think that it is my dvd player. It will play the movies I burn with the new software but all my old ones are of no use. I am going to take some of my dvd's to the pawn shop and find a dvd player that will play them all. I still want the best image editor I can get to keep my problems down.

You keep saying image editor, is it images as in pictures you are viewing on your dvd player? or actual video? If you are converting it to dvd theres a chance it could just be the player not liking the odd disc here and there. Put them back into the pc and see if they play okay. If they play through (you can even let it run in the background as you carry on with other things) then you know the disc is okay. Personally I use a dvd player that will play dvds, xvid, divx, slideshows, jpeg etc etc. Maybe you should look into one of those? Sometimes I don't even bother converting and I just burn the .avi files of a movie or video clips and it will 99% of the time play it no problem and you will end up getting more onto a disc instead of 1 / 2 movies per disc i have some with upto 6 or so. Their worth taking a look at

hi There are many converter or say DVD burner in market but i use NERO it's easy to use and burn most type formats. Always be sure that you selected video burn option for playing video files on player because all DVD player not play data files in short select option as per type of formats supported. Hope this will help you...

Thanks for the comment. In the past I have found Nero to be slow and not very user friendly. Maybe I will give it another chance since I already have an installation disc ready. Thanks again for your advice.
